Our Program

Occupational therapy is a highly skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. It gives people the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives.  In the past, these therapies have previously been used to aid in the healing of injuries for which people have already been diagnosed.  Our program, on the other hand, applies these therapies in a new way.  Using the information gathered during the assessment and evaluation phase and responding to trends and patterns identified, we apply this vast storage of knowledge in a preventative system to prevent injuries and illnesses caused by normal work-related activities.  Preferably this new system is put into the work place before these repetitive job tasks can cause sufficient harm to the individual which results in a worker's compensation claim.

CUSTOMIZED

Customized treatment programs  improve one's ability to perform daily activities

Based on our evaluation of your employee work stations, Remedy Pacific will create a customized routine that will only take your employees 5 to 10 minutes of the day to complete.  MSD prevention routines from Remedy Pacific are designed to lower your repetitive motion and EMR  injury rate.

EVALUATION

Comprehensive job site evaluations with adaptation recommendations

We evaluate your operations and show which areas are prone to causing injuries.  In addition, we'll recommend ways to prevent injuries.

SITE ASSESSMENT

Performance skills assessments and treatment

A detailed assessment of how your employees use their bodies to perform their job duties is included in the evaluation of your work site.

EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

Can equipment be modified for injury abatement?

Chances are there is a combination of equipment set-up in the office and work habits that are contributing to your symptoms.

ERGONOMIC TRAINING

Employees will be taught the principles of ergonomics and how to apply it to their job task

This training session is aimed at providing a basic understanding of anatomy and consequent manual handling/office techniques and postures to use in order to minimize the risk of sustaining an injury.   This training has been recognized by OSHA’s VPP teams as a “Best Practice.”  We teach the basics of back postures such as keeping neutral spines, keeping the load close, and moving  the feet.  We go further with additional understanding of anatomy and the application to YOUR job.  This course is taught by an Occupational Therapist and typically lasts about thirty minutes.

Each participant will receive handouts depicting key postures.

PATENTED INJURY PREVENTION METHODOLOGY

Our program is different from any of the other programs out there and it is proven to work.  If you follow it, we guarantee it!

This injury prevention system and methodology of ergonomic assessments combined with Occupational Therapy techniques is so unique that the United States Patent and Trade Office recognized it by awarding a patent in 2012.
