OSHA's PROPOSED SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM RULE

According to a January 2012 OSHA White Paper on Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, the keys to success of an injury prevention program include:

  • Management leadership and employee participation;
  • Hazard identification and assessment;
  • Hazard prevention and control;

  • Information and training; and
  • Evaluation of program effectiveness.

The Remedy Pacific Injury Prevention program incorporates ALL of these key elements.  We've been doing it for years.
To assist in MSD and injury prevention, OSHA is currently proposing a rule whose purpose is to, "reduce the number of job-related fatalities, illnesses, and injuries. The rule will accomplish this by requiring employers to establish a workplace safety and health program to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and the General Duty Clause of the Act (Section 5(a)(1))."
